How To Grow Your Online Business With Pay Per Click Ads

by MLM Absolute

Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising is a great way to get very good and targeted traffic to your website or your new blog. The best part about PPC is that you only get to pay for the advertisement only when someone clicks on the ads. And I must say that it definitely looks easy as ABC.

Though PPC looks very simple, there are many things you need to know and prepare before you conduct a PPC campaign. This is to ensure you get the highest level of effectiveness in your ads while reducing your cost of your advertisements. Here are some pointers you should look out and take note for your PPC campaign.

Probably the biggest pitfall is keyword selection. Too many beginning marketers don’t know how to properly choose keywords and end up bidding on keywords that only end up costing them money.

Let’s take a look at one example. If you are marketing on PLR software, a natural keyword to use would probably be “PLR products” or “PLR”. But if a person search those keywords looking for PLR articles, to find only software, they probably won’t stay and look at your website, needless to say get a sale from them. SO you need to know who you want to attract, and choose the keyword most relevant to their search.

Another point to take note is to target your ads based on geographical location. Many marketers do not really give much thoughts to it but the fact is that your ads won’t get you good results if it runs all over the world. Not a good idea at all. Why? Here’s why…

The world is made up of many different cultures, races and religions. And all of them will be able to see your ads if you do not restrict your ads by location. However, not all of them are your targeted audience. Eg, you can’t sell pork to Muslims, neither should you place ads for a chinese website in England. It is therefore very important that you know who are your target audience and advertise only to them.

The next point to note is the position you want your advertisement on search engines. Most marketers doing PPC, simply go for the first position on search engines. But is the first the best?

The truth is, the top position is a breeding ground for freebie seekers and prospects who really aren’t ready to buy yet. They’re just starting their search. Much wasted money is spent on the top position when you could do even better targeting positions 3 – 7.

Pay per click can, without a doubt, be the most targeted form of advertising around. But these pitfalls, keyword selection, targeting and ad position…along with so many others…can turn your pay per click into a nightmare.

That’s why it’s important to make sure that you get yourself a solid education before venturing into a pay per click campaign.
